Run group is back at Acacia Health! You wanted it, now you’ve got it but even better it’s now FREE! Yes, there will be three days every week that a run group will be leaving from Acacia Health and all you have to do is turn up and join in.
Where? Leaving from front garden of Acacia Health; 433 Waverley Road, East Malvern When? Commencing on 9 June 2009 - Tuesdays @ 6:30pm
- Thursdays @ 6:30pm
- Saturdays @ 4:00pm
Cost? Zero, zilch, nothing, this is a FREE run group, so there’s no excuses not to join in Who? Anyone who is bored of running by themselves and would like to take advantage of the many benefits of running within a group How does it work? There will be set courses for each of the three days. Each day will have a slightly different focus. Maps will be available for the initial few sessions as people learn the routes. A coach or trainer as such will not be at the sessions. Acacia Health will simply be providing the meeting point and the courses for a group of like-minded individuals to meet on a regular basis and have a run.
Format The courses are set and will not vary from week to week. Tuesdays − Hill run through Ashburton and Glen Iris − 2 distances to choose from: 8.1km or 10.4km Thursday − Easy run or a fartlek session (you decide) − 6.4km upwards in 1km increments (Central Park lap) Saturday − Longer run along Gardeners Creek Path − Turn around points for 6km, 8km, 10.6km, 14.4km or complete the full run of 15.2km
The more people within a run group the more enjoyable it is for everyone. More people mean it is more likely that you will find someone of your fitness level and speed to run with. So tell everyone! Let your family and friends know that this is a FREE run group and everyone is welcome, no matter what your fitness level.
No need to call, no need to book. Just simply turn up. We’ll see you there To view our weekly GROUP EXERCISE TIMETABLE, including PILATES and WiNpower plus our FEE SCHEDULE, click here |
