Here are a few useful hints to assist you in creating positive expectations in regards to your weight loss. - Take some time to think about the reasons why you would like to lose weight. What are your unique goals and what will continue to motivate you to reach these goals? It can often be encouraging to set a number of small goals. Success with small goals can be very rewarding and encourage you to continue along your weight loss path.
- Become aware of and stop all negative self talk. As an alternative have a number of positive affirmations that will send a positive message to yourself that you are a strong individual capable of reaching your weight loss goals.
- Laugh a lot. Humour can make your life richer and healthier. It can also help put things into perspective especially when you are having a stressful day. Treat yourself to laughter everyday!
- Take some time to re-vitalise and re-energise as often as possible. Allowing yourself to relax and re-focus can make the world of difference. A coffee with a good friend or an extra long bath can give you the motivation to remain focused and continue to move forward.

Health Assessments
Acacia Health offers a comprehensive health assessment. Assessments cover three main areas of your health, namely:
Physical: A number of areas are considered and/or tested including height, weight, blood pressure, cholesterol, lung function, aerobic capacity (fitness), strength, flexibility and pulse rate
Nutrition: We consider you current diet specifically looking at you plant-animal fat ratio and general daily dietary habits
Coping: An area that is often left out. You will complete a questionnaire in relation to your current lifestyle stresses and your behaviour.
On completion of this assessment you will discover your 'apparent age' compared to you actual age.
Recommendations and suggestions will be made to assist you in 'living life to your youngest'
